Casey- Casey is a 22 year old storm chaser who has been involved in the Wx World for over 10 years, since his young days he has always had a passion and interest in severe weather, blizzards, floods, and everything weather! December 2021, Casey went and intercepted the Quad State Tornado, though it was not his first tornado, it was his first direct intercept! Casey became the proud founder of the Midsouth Squad in May 2023 after deciding that chasing alone could not continue if he wanted to continue doing it! Casey has chased with and personally knows many well known storm chasers from Reed Timmer, to Brandon Copic, and many more!
Madi- Madi is a 23 year old chaser, sister of Casey. Chasing since early 2023, shortly before the rise of Midsouth Squad, Madi has always loved weather. From sitting outside during storms, to watching Storm Chasers on The Weather Channel, storm chasing is now just a simple part of her life. Being one of the main chasers and forecasters, Madi is always ready to set out on a trip. Madi is also an EMT part-time. She sees storm chasing not as a hobby, but as another part of her career saving lives. She says that being in the field and seeing things first hand, can allow her to get warnings out much earlier than they normally would have been. This early warning can allow people to get to a safe area much quicker, possibly saving more lives.
Owen- Owen is another one of our chasers. Being on a few chases with the team, to going on vacation and ending up driving through Hurricane Helene, Owen is very passionate about chasing. Hoping to get out in the field more with the team, Owen has been a large help when it comes to navigation and radar, especially during our Greenfield, Iowa chase. Owen has met and chased with notable storm chasers including Reed Timmer!
Mike and Ky- Mike and Ky are the Radar Techs. From hollering at us on the radar of where they may see something chasers don't, to helping track and plan where part of a storm may be going, Mike and Ky are always ready to help. These two have been crucial in leading the team in the right direction, and making sure nothing goes unseen, especially when the team is without cellular service and cannot have radar open themselves.
